“As we face East in prayer, so let us face the world with compassion.”
St. Gregory the Great, Moralia in Job, Book 17, Chapter 8

STAND AND FACE EAST

Our vision is not simply institutional—it is personal, accountable, prayerful, and incarnational. The Stand And Face East Foundation is dedicated to embodying the Christian call to mercy by supporting orphaned children, vulnerable families, and communites with vision but in dire need, particularly in the east southern-hemisphere.

In part inspired by the ancient practice of facing east & standing at attention in prayer, we aim to offer tangible help through empowering specific projects that will stand on thier own once established & emergency aid at specific times. Our mission is rooted in the Gospel command to love and care for those who suffer, offering hope, dignity, and compassion in His name.

Entirely volunteer run, 100% of ALL donations will always go directly towards our projects.

6 Pillars of Philanthropia

Our foundation’s complete legal framework—including the Founding Statement, our Constitution, Bylaws, and Non-Profit Disclosure Statement—is published here to affirm that every dollar is used to serve charitable ends and no private enrichment occurs.

This transparent governance bedrock meets CRA criteria for an unincorporated association and sets the stage for full registration as a legal and offical charity as soon as possible. in both Canada and The United States Of America.

Mission & Vision Statement

Focusing on self-sustaining projects & also aid in the forms of food, shelter, medical care to vetted orphanges & vulnerable children / families in the “global south” & eastern hemisphere. Our Mission & Vision Statement describes this commitment to partnership, respect, and enduring hope, while inviting anyone of goodwill to join in regardless of creed. Grounding every initiative in the conviction that genuine philanthropy requires listening, humility, & dedication, as opposed to the often arrogant & assumptious style of many charitable aid orginizations to the “developing world”.

The Code of Ethics & Stewardship Policy codifies our promise that funds are used only for essential, mission-driven support, never for overhead, luxury, or self-promotion, and that no member benefits personally—echoing the legal requirement that no portion of income may flow to private individuals.

These ethics ensure that every grant and gift aligns with our highest standards of integrity, humility, and accountability. To these ends we guarantee full outward-facing transparency at all times.

Transparency, Oversight & Reporting

Honest & complete openness guides our stewardship. In the Transparency Statement we define this & in future Financial Reports, we will detail every donation received, allocation made, and outcome achieved. Though not yet CRA-registered, we clearly disclose our status and welcome scrutiny from one-time contributors or members of the S.A.F.E. Foundation Philanthropia Society, ensuring that trust is built on verifiable data and accountability.

Child Protection & Vulnerable Beneficiary Assurance

Safeguarding those we help is non-negotiable. Our Safeguarding & Child Protection Statement sets rigorous standards for working only with personally vetted caregivers and networks, maintaining direction over every overseas grant to protect children’s welfare. These measures, rooted in both canonical Orthodox ethics and international best practices aim to guarantee that our compassion never compromises safety or dignity of any involved.

Doctrinal & Religious Basis

Our faith convictions inform all we do, as detailed in the Christian Identity and Alignment page. Here we explain how the ancient teachings of the Eastern Church—on philanthropia, stewardship, mercy, and human dignity—shape our values without imposing on our donors, members or partners. While we remain thoroughly rooted in Orthodoxy, we welcome collaboration across traditions, believing that solidarity in service can cross doctrinal and dogmatic boundaries.
